A word from Megan...

There is no greater gift than for an individual to find their true self and to live their life with the purpose that God has planned for them. It is truly an honour for me to walk alongside individuals, like yourself, as you find your true self through the healing, freedom and victory available in Christ. Counselling can be quite a vulnerable place to be. It is always my hope to create a safe place where you feel comfortable, able to engage and allow the Holy Spirit to do His work in you.

I desire to build an empathetic and consistent space for you to wrestle through the struggles you are facing. It is my desire to work together with you to reach the goals that you have for your counselling journey. We can sift through the different aspects of life that cause you discomfort and/or pain and work to develop the tools that you need to heal and feel confident to tackle life’s circumstances.

My approach to counselling comes naturally from a humanistic (client-centered) and emotion-focused orientation. I believe that for many individuals pulling aspects from different therapeutic approaches may be best in helping them reach their goals. When appropriate, I pull from the following approaches: cognitive-behavioral therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, solution-focused therapy, emotion-focused family therapy, and narrative therapy. However, what is most important to me is that you feel heard, validated in your experiences, and connected. God created human beings for connection and to experience a sense of belonging. When we experience belonging, connection and leave room for the Holy Spirit to do His work, I believe healing happens.

If you are interested in knowing more about me. I love God, His forgiveness, and His constant hand in my life. I love my family where I enjoy spending time with my husband and two boys doing almost anything (ie. sports, hiking, and being adventurous). I enjoy spending time with dear friends in deep conversations where we challenge and encourage one another in all aspects of our lives. I also enjoy sitting down with a good book and a good cup of coffee.

If you are thinking about starting your counselling journey, I would love to connect with you. Your life and the journey God has you on is important; I would be honored to become apart of it as you work towards becoming the best version of yourself.
