A Word From Heidi...

Reaching out for support takes courage, and you’re already taking an important first step by exploring the Mercy Seat website. I know how vulnerable it can feel to start this journey, and while I can’t guarantee we’re the perfect fit, I can offer a warm, empathetic space where you can bring all of yourself — your fears, hopes, anxieties, and strengths — without judgment.

I believe disconnection from ourselves, others and God is at the heart of much of our pain and suffering. Our sense of connection shapes how we see ourselves, others, and the world around us. That’s why I feel honoured to work with individuals navigating challenges, transitions, or times of emotional pain, supporting them toward meaningful change.

Whether it’s trauma, loneliness, faith questions or the complexities of relationships, I am passionate about co-creating a space where we can explore what it means to invite God into areas of pain and be present, authentic, and connected. I’ve personally experienced the transformative power of the therapeutic relationship and understand how valuable it can be to have someone by your side during uncertain or challenging times.

A bit about me – I have been married for almost 30 years, and we love to spend time outdoors, walking and hiking in God’s amazing creation. We share a home with my amazing in-laws, and I am blessed to benefit from their love and care. We are empty nesters with two married kids that we love to spend time with whenever we can. I have seen the Lord work in incredible ways in my own life and through the lives of many others with whom I have partnered in ministry. I have also been witness to how often his work comes through our times of suffering.

I have spent the last 20 years working with individuals and leaders in various faith-based organizations within Canada and internationally. I believe everyone has the potential for growth, healing, and positive change.

Finding the right fit is key, and I’d love to connect with you to see if we might be a good match for your journey.
